HDR photography
MENUThese pictures, taken in various locations, share the same post-production editing method: HDR (high dynamic range).
The pillar of this technique is bracketing: taking several identical photos with different exposure settings.
Typically, this process requires three images. The first one to capture a mid-range exposure shot, a second for the highlights, and a third for the shadows.
Merging those pictures together creates an HDR image with unique “dramatic” light.
The results are best with sunrise and sunset, enhancing the colors and light of the sky.
HDR is fun and can help boost your creativity –though with the risk of over-processing the images and ending up with fake looking and oversaturated photos.
