Le RER jusqu'à la mer
MENUI took these photos in 2016 and 2018, which are the two most recent floods that hit Paris.
After several months of heavy rain, the Seine river overflowed on its bank and gushed into neighboring streets.
Parts of the Metro had to be shut down and art from the famous Louvre and Musée d’Orsay had to be moved to safety.
In 2016, the flood saw a peak at 6.30m above normal (5.85m in 2018).
As of today, the record is still from 1910 with more then 8.50m above normal.
